Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce processing time
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams on payment strategies and vendor relationships
- Support month-end closing procedures and financial reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Train and mentor junior AP staff on best practices and system utilization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience in a corporate environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control principles
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to manage high-volume transactions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve vendor disputes effectively
- Proven track record of process optimization and automation initiatives
- Professional certification (e.g., CAPP, APMP) preferred
