Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processing, including invoice verification, coding, and payment scheduling
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies within 3 business days
- Optimize payment cycles using ERP systems to maximize early payment discounts
- Lead month-end closing activities for AP sub-ledgers and accruals
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce processing time by 15%
- Collaborate with procurement and treasury teams on vendor management initiatives
- Conduct internal controls audits and ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Mentor junior AP staff and cross-train in related finance functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience in high-volume environments
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Certification in Accounts Payable (APMP) or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated experience with process automation and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for vendor and stakeholder interactions
