Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end accounts payable processing including invoice verification, coding, and payment scheduling
- Optimize vendor relationships through strategic negotiation and payment term management
- Lead month-end closing procedures and reconcile AP sub-ledgers to general ledger
- Implement process improvements using automation tools to enhance efficiency
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with SOX and financial regulations
- Mentor junior AP staff and develop departmental best practices
- Collaborate with procurement and treasury teams on working capital optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience in corporate or public accounting
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls
- Proven track record of process optimization and cost reduction
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong leadership experience with AP teams of 3+ members
- Experience with international payments and multi-currency transactions
