Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Collaborate with procurement to optimize vendor payment terms and discounts
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial compliance (SOX, GAAP)
- Analyze AP data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Lead month-end closing activities and support financial reporting
- Train and mentor junior AP staff on best practices and system usage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience in high-volume environments
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships effectively
- Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting
