The Role
As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor relations, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify high-volume invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain and update the AP general ledger and ensure all supporting documentation is organized.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks) to manage financial data.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of proven experience in Accounts Payable or related financial roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to work independently.
