Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, reports, and budgets to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee the monthly payroll process to ensure employees are paid weekly on time.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and tax filings.
- Streamline financial processes and implement best practices for cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification or CPA candidate status is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
