Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to resolve discrepancies.
- Generate and present financial reports to senior management to support business decisions.
- Oversee the payroll process to ensure employees are paid correctly and on schedule.
- Conduct internal audits to identify potential risks and improve internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
