Responsibilities
- Manage the Month-End Close: Oversee the end-of-period accounting process, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare complex financial statements and management reports that drive business decision-making.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure data integrity and identify variances.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in external audits and internal control compliance, ensuring adherence to GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices to increase efficiency within the finance department.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a major plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze data, spot errors, and maintain high accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying financial discrepancies and implementing effective solutions.
