Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations for various accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
