Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform monthly and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support management decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
