Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
- Oversee payroll processing with weekly pay cycles for 50+ employees
- Conduct financial audits and implement internal controls for risk mitigation
- Collaborate with tax authorities and external auditors during compliance reviews
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and ERP systems
- Lead month-end closing processes and variance analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing weekly pay cycles and multi-state payroll compliance
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
