Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including bank reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting is accurate and adheres to local and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes to increase efficiency.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the monthly payroll process to ensure accurate distribution of weekly wages.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and organizational skills.
