Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
- Manage the payroll process to ensure accurate weekly disbursements and adherence to HMRC regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate ledgers using Sage and Xero.
- Handle VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and general bookkeeping duties.
- Assist in the budgeting process and provide financial insights to the management team.
- Ensure all financial controls and internal audits are conducted effectively.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting and payroll management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
