Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and balance sheets to ensure accuracy.
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Handle VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and year-end audits.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure weekly distribution to all staff members.
- Reconcile bank statements and investigate any discrepancies.
- Provide financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting to senior management.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for all financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UK accounting and finance.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Deep understanding of UK payroll laws and HMRC regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance staff.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
