Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who thrives on accuracy and organization. Your daily tasks will include:
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns and compliance filings.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to company policies and GAAP regulations.
- Collaborate with the Virginia-based remote team to ensure seamless financial integration across regions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
