Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend process improvements
- Prepare and review tax documents, audits, and compliance filings
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Develop financial models and forecasts for strategic decision-making
- Mentor junior accounting staff and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and cost analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate financial concepts
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
