About the Role:
In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. You will work closely with our finance team to provide insights that drive business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger by recording daily transactions and performing month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in processing payroll data to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, adhering to all payroll regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal laws, including tax regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; familiarity with construction or manufacturing accounting is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Licensure: CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.
