Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and supporting documentation for external audits.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring invoices are paid on time and receivables are collected efficiently.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and budget variance analysis.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to streamline financial reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a strong plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
