Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to management.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll to guarantee employees receive their weekly paychecks on time.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and implement controls to prevent errors.
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with state and federal tax laws.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (CPA) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proven proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
