Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently and accurately.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are accurate and paid on time.
- Assist with external audits and tax preparations by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
