Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions
- Assist with budget development, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and internal controls
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Maintain financial records using QuickBooks and advanced Excel functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables), and accounting software
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with financial reporting and compliance standards (GAAP/SOX)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
