Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries and transactions are accurate and recorded in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely vendor payments and accurate revenue recognition.
- Conduct internal audits and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecast financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
