Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy of all journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize working capital
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for client portfolios
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and state-specific regulations (OH/VA)
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and tax season
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance (OH/VA focus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with financial audits and regulatory reporting
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environments
