Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Manage general ledger operations including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Coordinate external audits and ensure SOX compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes and financial reporting deadlines
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Expertise with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail accuracy
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Pennsylvania residency required (no relocation assistance)
