Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance analysis
- Manage general ledger operations and ensure accurate month-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and implement process improvements
- Coordinate audits and maintain compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making
- Mentor junior accountants and optimize accounting workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end close and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data clearly
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
