Responsibilities
- Oversee the weekend financial close process, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all journal entries and reconciliations.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies promptly.
- Manage and process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and conduct periodic physical inventory counts.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, compliance policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a remote setting.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
