Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, trial balances, and variance reports for the weekend period to support management decision-making.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the processing of invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and verification of payroll data for the weekend workforce, ensuring all deductions and tax filings are correct.
- Compliance & Auditing: Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and adhering to GAAP and local accounting standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, with specific experience in a weekend shift environment preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) on a consistent basis.
