Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with meticulous attention to detail
- Lead internal audit initiatives and ensure SOX compliance across all financial operations
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Manage tax preparation and compliance processes for multi-state entities
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize departmental workflows
- Collaborate with executive team on financial strategy and cost reduction initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and multi-state tax regulations
- Proven experience managing full-cycle accounting operations
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong leadership qualities with experience mentoring accounting teams
- Weekend availability mandatory (Saturday/Sunday 8am-5pm)
