Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare variance analysis reports and present findings to the Finance Director and executive management team.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and support long-term financial forecasting and planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations; coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits.
- Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cost accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and advanced accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
