Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable workflows.
- Ensure strict adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and federal regulations.
- Assist in the annual budget preparation and conduct variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and provide requested documentation.
- Monitor tax compliance and assist with quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
