Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including balance sheets and P&L reports
- Lead internal audits and compliance initiatives for government-contracted projects
- Develop and maintain robust accounting systems with GAAP compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in DC metro area
- Expertise in federal contracting accounting and FAR compliance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transactions and deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
