Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with emphasis on accuracy and compliance
- Lead tax preparation processes and ensure adherence to federal/state regulations
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain client relationships while providing expert financial guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., Sage)
- Strong GAAP knowledge with demonstrable tax preparation experience
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record in financial reporting and compliance
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex data
