Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and closing procedures.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and improve internal control processes.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation for external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
