Apex Financial Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in San Jose, CA. Due to a significant expansion of our client portfolio, we are launching an urgent hiring drive for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee critical financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial insights for our growing enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger Activities: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliation of accounts.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare complex financial statements, variance analysis, and budget forecasts to support executive decision-making.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the full cycle of A/P and A/R, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and internal control policies; assist in external and internal audits.
- Tax Preparation: Coordinate with external tax advisors to prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement new financial software solutions.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accounting staff and foster a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a high-volume setting.
- San Jose Relocation: Must be willing to work on-site in San Jose, CA.
