Job Overview:
We are expanding our finance department and need an experienced accountant to help manage our complex financial operations. This is an urgent role for a self-starter who can hit the ground running.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation of all financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and submitted on time to federal, state, and local authorities.
- Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Streamline internal financial processes and implement best practices for cost reduction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
