Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform complex account reconciliations for various accounts, including bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and provide variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing necessary tax returns and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with the external audit team during year-end audits to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Oversee and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and software usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and NetSuite is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
