Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial data is recorded correctly and reconciled on a monthly basis.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for management review.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments to vendors and accurate collection of customer invoices.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and external audits; ensure full compliance with GAAP and local state regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for greater efficiency.
- Budgeting: Support the annual budgeting process and assist in forecasting future financial trends.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of GAAP principles, financial regulations, and tax laws specific to the United States.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and resolve complex financial issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
