Responsibilities
- Oversee the Month-End Close: Manage the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, complete, and posted in a timely manner.
- Prepare Financial Statements: Compile and analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports to support executive decision-making.
- Perform Reconciliations: Conduct thorough bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to GAAP and internal control policies to mitigate financial risk.
- Audit Support: Assist external auditors with documentation requests and provide necessary financial data during annual audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline accounting workflows and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and produce actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
