Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will oversee daily financial operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and lead our team in preparing monthly and annual statements. You will play a critical role in maintaining our company's financial health and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and budget forecasting.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external audits.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and improve departmental workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA, CMA, or Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
