Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy of financial records and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and regulatory filings for both Virginia and California entities.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification is a strong plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
