Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial processes are compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist with external audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and implement solutions to enhance efficiency in financial workflows.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure cash flow accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage large volumes of data with high accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Reliability: Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
