Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on audits, tax filings, and financial controls
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely tax remittances
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing and financial statement preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
