Meridian Financial Partners is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Houston, TX. Due to an internal promotion, we have an urgent opening and are looking for a detail-oriented professional to handle our financial operations with precision and speed.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full-cycle accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct budget analysis and assist in the creation of financial forecasts for the organization.
- Support external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
