Responsibilities
- Manage complex month-end/year-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Oversee financial reporting packages ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy for internal/external stakeholders
- Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives to support strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements and automation projects
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance documentation
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide technical guidance
- Develop ad-hoc financial analyses for executive decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing accounting teams and process optimization
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial concepts
