Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger operations and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with precision
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage complex financial projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Boston-based candidates with local industry experience preferred
