We are urgently hiring a results-driven Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in San Diego, CA. This is a Direct Hire position with an immediate start date for the right candidate.
Our client is a leader in the industry seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage financial reporting and ensure regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in driving our financial health and growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and resolve any account discrepancies.
- Assist in the budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations.
- Collaborate with management to provide insights on financial performance and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- CPA certification is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and internal controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
