Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and stakeholders.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.
- Audit Support: Assist external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Certification: CPA or ACCA certification is highly preferred.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite; advanced Excel skills required.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and ensure high-quality accuracy.
