Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and federal/state tax regulations
- Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting
- Conduct financial audits and implement process improvements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and payroll functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax codes, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience with month-end/year-end closing processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
