Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries and ensure the accuracy of all financial records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive review.
- Oversee the full accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of complex tax filings and ensure strict compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance team on annual budgets and long-term forecasting.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
