Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Prepare complex financial statements and reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Perform in-depth account reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, meeting all critical deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and audits.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and financial reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a public accounting firm or corporate setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
